PostSubject: Where I draw the line between Furries and Animals.   Wed Jun 16, 2010 11:45 pm

This is what seperates Animals from Humans
1) Walking on 4 legs
2) Smaller brain capacity
3) undeveloped Voice box

Furries are capable of emotions and rational thought and therefore have a developed brain like humans. Furries walk on two legs and obvious speak like humans.

So is it safe to say that furries are human?

I know the meaning of furry has now stretched beyond all and everything, but going back to the original meaning where a furry, a member of the furry fandom is just someone who likes anthropomorphic works. So the closest it really has to do with animals is that some of us dress up as them, some feel close to their "animal side", or have some sort of animal totem.

So really, all this animal and human comparison is unneeded because we're fairly far removed from it just being about animals, instead the focus should be more on anthropomorphism. sunny

I consider everyone to be of equal status in this world, Furries and Humans aren't too far apart, besides the Fur, Epic ears and Tail. We can all be buddies!!!!! XD

Your opinion must some how be the right one. XD

I can say though from similar discussions at much larger boards there are different opinions out there, which is to be expected, and there was much arguing and some banning, but that's the UKFur boards for you. Razz

If I see any drama I do what Sonic says and get out of there, then watch as the mods and admins move in and do their jobs. Staying out of it ensure I don't get any warnings, but I'm also just not the sort of person to create drama.
Many many moons ago, I forum board that I frequented had a massive flame war that ended up in the board being closed for a few months while the threads were cleaned up. Surprised
Do I get the feeling things are taking a turn for the OT. Razz
